Executives of Turning Point USA are fulfilling the final wishes of Charlie Kirk, who had a specific successor in mind were he to pass away.
In the event of his unexpected death or incapacity, Kirk, 31, had established a chain of command that he believed would guide the conservative youth organization he founded into the post-Trump era. His charisma as a family man and heretic of higher education made Kirk the singular force behind Turning Point’s unparalleled national success, including the establishment of over 3,000 national chapters.
But behind every good man is the proverbial better woman, and Kirk knew the secret to his success always lay with Erika, his wife of four years, and their two children, who welcomed him home after every road trip.
Erika, 36, emerged two days after her husband’s death to vow that the mission of Turning Point would continue. That promise came to fruition on Thursday when the organization’s board of directors unanimously accepted Erika Kirk as its next president.
In a letter to its members, the board recalls the forewarning of King Solomon in Ecclesiastes.
“Today we are facing such a test, yet we also know that God has prepared us with everything we need to overcome this ordeal,” they write.

“It was the honor of our lives to serve as board members at Charlie’s side. Charlie prepared all of us for a moment like this one. He worked tirelessly to ensure Turning Point USA was built to survive even the greatest tests. And now, it is our great pride to announce Erika Kirk as the new CEO and Chair of the Board for Turning Point.”

Erika Kirk graduated from Arizona State in 2011 and, one year later, was crowned Miss Arizona. She founded Everyday Heroes Like You, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting under-recognized charities, and is the host of her own podcast, “Midweek Rise Up.”
She has been handed the reins of a significantly larger institution. With $85 million in revenue reported in 2024, Turning Point proved to be a critical mobilizer of conservative college students in the 2024 elections, and both President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance have credited their win to Kirk.
“All of us at Turning Point USA have a special role in carrying Charlie Kirk’s mantle and completing his vision of bringing us all closer to our Lord and fostering a prosperous country for generations to come,” the board continued.
“We will carry on. The attempt to destroy Charlie’s work will become our chance to make it more powerful and enduring than ever before.”
