After encouraging her husband to run for re-election despite his mental impairment<\/a> and, potentially, the prostate cancer<\/a> developing inside of him, a seasoned opinion columnist at the Washington Post is accusing former First Lady Jill Biden of \u201celder abuse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sally Quinn, a socialite and opinion leader from Washington, D.C., attacked Jill in a recent interview with fellow journalist Tara Palmeri, claiming that establishment Democrats were \u201chorrified<\/a>\u201d by Jill Biden\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI blame Jill Biden for this. Jill Biden is his wife. And if Jill Biden had stood up and gone to him and said, \u2018Joe, you can\u2019t do it\u2019\u2026 He wouldn\u2019t have run. She clearly was in favor of his running and I just think it was a terrible disservice to the country,\u201d Quinn said on the \u201cTara Palmeri Show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former president\u2019s \u201chideous\u201d debate only emboldened his wife, who Quinn claims doubled down on pushing him to stay in the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe wasn\u2019t protecting him\u2026 I thought it was elder abuse, really,\u201d Quinn declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The elite in Washington, many of whom Quinn frequently dines with, were aware of Biden\u2019s deteriorating health and expressed almost universal anxiety about his capacity to manage another four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEverybody thought he shouldn\u2019t run,\u201d Quinn told Palmeri. \u201cPeople were just distraught that he was running and terrible for the party.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think everybody was horrified that he was put in a position where he was allowed to run, by his staff and by his wife,\u201d Quinn continued. \u201cPeople felt sorry for him. But still it was his egotistical decision to stay in office and look what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt looks like the beginning of dementia to me,\u201d she said of Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The insider from Washington, D.C., said she was as surprised as anyone to hear of Biden\u2019s cancer diagnosis last week and questioned how his elite medical team failed to detect the slowly spreading cancer in his prostate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe president of the United States has the best medical care in the world, or should, and it should\u2019ve been diagnosed a long time ago,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s hard for me to believe that they didn\u2019t know about it and were waiting to reveal it until it got too aggressive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
