New footage reveals former Vice President Kamala Harris warning that today\u2019s global climate bears unsettling similarities to the 1930s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a rare public appearance since her departure from the White House, Harris was captured speaking during a Q&A session at the 2025 Australian Real Estate Conference (AREC 2025). Near the end of the discussion, the host expressed his admiration for former President Barack Obama and asked Harris what she believed accounted for his success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think one of the very special aspects of who he is, is he really is a student of history and that gets back to my earlier point about, for each of us, understanding the context in which we exist,\u201d she said in the footage leaked online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s critically important, because coupled with the enthusiasm that comes with ambition and optimism, we must be the clear-eyed focus of understanding where we\u2019ve been,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Harris then claimed that she is also a \u201cstudent of history\u201d before stating that the current global situation resembles the period leading up to World War II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI do worry, frankly, about what\u2019s happening right now in our world,\u201d she said. \u201cI do worry that it is important that we remember history. It\u2019s important we remember the 1930s. It\u2019s important that we remember that history has taught us that isolation does not equal insulation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Harris went on to argue, \u201cIt is important that we understand and remember history which taught us the interdependence and interconnection between nations. History that has taught us the importance of relationships of trust, the importance of friendships, integrity, honesty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere is so much about foreign affairs that is just like the importance of having good friendships, consistency, honesty, being there for each other when you need them, holding up standards, international rules and norms,\u201d she noted further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking of Obama, a video of a confrontation between two Secret Service officers has surfaced a week after a report said there had been a scuffle among agents outside of his Washington, D.C., residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The video was obtained by RealClearPolitics national correspondent Susan Crabtree, who broke the original story of the fight between the two female agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crabtree noted on the X platform that she had \u201cobtained video of the fight between two women Secret Service Uniformed Division Officers outside former President Obama\u2019s residence last week after one officer called a supervisor to come before \u2018I whoop this girl\u2019s ass.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe skirmish is raising new questions about whether DEI is still plaguing the USSS despite Trump\u2019s directive to abolish it. The Secret Service has not responded to my inquiries on whether these two officers are being disciplined and\/or are still on the job,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI need a supervisor out here\u2026 immediately before I whoop this girl\u2019s ass,\u201d one of the women said into the radio last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
