Radical Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett claimed that supporters of President Donald Trump are \u201csick\u201d and \u201cmentally ill.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During an off-the-rails interview with Katie Couric on her \u201cNext Question\u201d podcast, Crockett argued our country is in a \u201cmental health crisis\u201d because Trump was elected and declared she\u2019d \u201cgive anything\u201d to have a Republican like former President George W. Bush back in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crockett insulted those who supported the recent military parade celebrating the Army\u2019s 250th anniversary in Washington, D.C., as \u201csick.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis idea that we don\u2019t care how many people get hurt. We don\u2019t how we prostitute our service members, you know, thinking that you have your own special little army that\u2019s for you. I mean, it is just, it\u2019s sick. It is really sick. And anybody that supports it is also sick,\u201d Crockett said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crockett then linked Trump\u2019s MAGA following to a \u201cmental health crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got a mental health crisis in this country because everyone, no matter how you affiliate yourself, should be against Trump, period. This is not partisan for me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crockett added that she would \u201cgive anything\u201d to have Bush back in office, calling him a \u201cregular Republican.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI would give anything to have, sad to say, George Bush. Give me any regular Republican nowadays and I would be happy. But right now we have someone who does not care and he is being enabled by the fact that there are people that follow him and they pump him up,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy heart breaks for service members, people that signed up to protect democracy and freedom, not only here, but abroad, and were willing to risk their lives,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd now, literally, the very thing that they signed up to fight against is now their commander-in-chief. It really breaks my heart. And I don\u2019t know how far he has to go before we can come together and just say, enough is enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
