I hereby grant you full legal guardianship of Max.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I choked up. Max didn\u2019t understand the legal part \u2014 but he saw me cry and threw his arms around me.<br>\u201cAre we going home now?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I nodded, smiling.<br>\u201cWe\u2019re going home, buddy.
