Former First Lady Michelle Obama has once again shut down rumors and speculation about her possibly making a presidential run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During an interview on \u201cNot Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,\u201d Obama made it clear that her priority is the well-being of her daughters, Sasha and Malia, who grew up under intense public scrutiny during their time in the White House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Obama declared that she is \u201cnot interested in politics\u201d as a mom of two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was so glad when we got out of the White House,\u201d the 61-year-old admitted, referencing the end of her husband former President Barack Obama\u2019s second term in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI wanted them to have the freedom of not having the eyes of the world on them. They still are dealing with paparazzi and being who they are and trying to carve out their own identity,\u201d Obama said, referring to her two daughters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because of that, Michelle noted, \u201cWhen people ask me, would I ever run [for office], the answer is no.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said that those wondering \u201chave absolutely no idea the sacrifice that your kids make when your parents are in that role.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former lawyer added, \u201cNot only am I not interested in politics in that way but the thought of putting my girls back into that spotlight when they are just now establishing themselves \u2014 we\u2019ve done enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As far as Michelle is concerned, the \u201cquestion [has been] asked and answered\u201d and is \u201cnever gonna happen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She concluded, \u201cThey\u2019ve already served their time. \u2026 It would be unthinkable. Nope.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
