Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich sharply criticized the Democratic Party, calling it an unethical organization that rallied around a \u201ccoma\u201d patient over more capable contenders to serve its political interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a Friday interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Blagojevich also accused the party of harboring a \u201cHall of Fame for Liars,\u201d naming Senator Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) as its leading figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Watters asked the former governor about his response to claims that Democrats preferred to cover for former President Joe Biden\u2019s mental and physical problems instead of move on from him or accept President Donald Trump, Blagojevich said, \u201cI\u2019d say that guy hates the American people and hates his constituents and hates even Democratic voters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cShouldn\u2019t we all wish good things for our country? Isn\u2019t it right to hope that a president, even the one from the other party, can succeed to do good things for his country and good things for people?\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Blagojevich said that proves that Democfrats \u201cdon\u2019t care about America,\u201d going on to quote Tennessee Williams\u2019 line that \u201cthe only thing worse than a liar is a liar that\u2019s also a hypocrite.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIf they have any sense of patriotism\u2026 they ought to try to \u2026 atone for their sins,\u201d the former governor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Blagojevich claimed that Democrats could have invoked the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden and keep the White House under Democratic control with then\u2013Vice President Kamala Harris assuming the presidency. However, he argued that party leaders instead believed, \u201cmaybe we\u2019re better off with a brain-dead Biden as president than her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey\u2019d rather have a comatose Biden than Kamala Harris,\u201d Watters said in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Blagojevich went on to say that, in contrast, President Donald Trump has been the target of false accusations, including claims of Russian collusion and involvement in the Stormy Daniels case. He argued that it is the Democrats who should be viewed as the greater purveyors of misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNobody who has any common sense could believe anything they say,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd the king of the Democratic liars is Adam Schiff.
