Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., responded Sunday to President Donald Trump\u2019s recent decision to label her a \u201ctraitor\u201d following their political split, calling the remark \u201churtful\u201d and cautioning that such language could pose risks to her personal safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe most hurtful thing he said, which is absolutely untrue, is he called me a traitor, and that is so extremely wrong,\u201d Greene told CNN\u2019s Dana Bash on \u201cState of the Union.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThose are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger,\u201d she added<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump announced Friday on Truth Social that he was withdrawing his endorsement of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, calling her a \u201cranting lunatic\u201d and accusing her of \u201ccomplaining\u201d instead of highlighting what he described as his administration\u2019s \u201crecord achievements,\u201d according to Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said Greene, a longtime ally within the MAGA movement, was \u201cupset\u201d that he had not returned her calls, asserted that she had \u201cgone far left,\u201d and vowed to fully support any conservative primary challenger in the 2026 midterms. Greene was first elected to her north Georgia district in 2020 and has won re-election twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greene refuted that, noting that she didn\u2019t call but rather texted him, providing screenshots of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also noted in a lengthy X post that she was being targeted by \u201choax\u201d pizza deliveries and felt threatened, while touting her support for Trump\u2019s policies and her conservative voting record:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hoax pizza deliveries have started now, to my house and my family members.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update: we also received a pipe bomb threat on my construction companies office building.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Trump\u2019s unwarranted and vicious attacks against me were a dog whistle to dangerous radicals that could lead to serious attacks on me and my family.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, I\u2019ve been down this road before. As a matter of fact, as I campaigned all over the country and defended President Trump, I received dozens of swatting calls on my house and my family members homes along with these hoax pizza deliveries, but even more severely I have received some of the most death threats of any Member of Congress that led to multiple men being convicted and serving time in prison.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And all of that came from the left.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that President Trump has called me a traitor, which is absolutely untrue and horrific. Mark Levin has been calling me a traitor. And so have other prominent likely paid social medial activists.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This puts blood in the water and creates a feeding frenzy. And it could ultimately lead to a harmful or even deadly outcome.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, the timing of this just happens to be days before we take the vote on releasing the Epstein files.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love America and the American people, and I swore an oath to uphold the constitution and always do so.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not a traitor.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, when the President of the United States irresponsibly calls a Member of Congress of his own party, traitor, he is signaling what must be done to a traitor.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I fought harder than anyone to help President Trump get elected and I support his administration and the promises we made on the campaign. I am a Republican in good standing and have paid all of my dues to the NRCC. My voting record is one of the most conservative voting records in Congress and I\u2019m very proud of that.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The toxic and dangerous rhetoric in politics must end and we need healing in this country for all Americans.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also said that her mention of supporting the release of all files related to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was \u201capparently\u2026what sent him over the edge.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump has since pushed majority Republicans<\/a> on Capitol Hill to release the files in a post to his Truth Social account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
