FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino gave a chilling warning to rioters in Los Angeles who were pelting federal agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with rocks as they drove past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deputy director asked for the public\u2019s assistance in finding them and warned the perpetrators that it was \u201conly a matter of time\u201d until they were captured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are currently seeking information regarding the identity of the person(s) throwing rocks at vehicles conducting critical law enforcement operations,\u201d he said<\/a> in a post on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOne of the perpetrators in this video is wearing a helmet, and we\u2019re going to use our investigative tools to locate the individual. I strongly suggest you turn yourself in, it\u2019s only a matter of time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n FBI Director Kash Patel also shared a direct message with the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHit a cop, you\u2019re going to jail\u2026 doesn\u2019t matter where you came from, how you got here, or what movement speaks to you. If the local police force won\u2019t back our men and women on the thin blue line, we @FBI will,\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ICE agents moved in Friday, hitting several locations across Los Angeles \u2014 including a clothing warehouse in the city\u2019s Fashion District \u2014 after a judge found probable cause the employer was using fake documents for some of its workers, according to Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office,\u201d CBS News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Things got heated fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A crowd formed outside one location and tried to block the agents from leaving, turning the scene tense and chaotic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Meanwhile, protests erupted downtown at a federal building after rumors spread that detainees were being held in the basement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Saturday, protesters hit the streets in Paramount, a city in L.A. County, after it looked like federal agents were running another immigration raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After the arrests on Friday, protesters gathered outside a federal detention center that evening, chanting, \u201cSet them free, let them stay!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some waved anti-ICE signs. Others took things further, tagging the building with graffiti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Among those arrested during the protests was David Huerta, the regional president of the Service Employees International Union. Justice Department spokesman Ciaran McEvoy confirmed Huerta was being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles and is set to appear in court Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Late Saturday night, President Trump signed a memo invoking Title 10 Authority, ordering at least 2,000 National Guard troops to deploy to L.A. County for \u201c60 days or at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He didn\u2019t hold back, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIf Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can\u2019t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can\u2019t, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!\u201d Trump posted on Truth Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A Defense Department official told CBS News that most of the 2,000 troops are coming from the California National Guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIn addition, the Secretary of Defense may employ any other members of the regular Armed Forces as necessary to augment and support the protection of Federal functions and property in any number determined appropriate in his discretion,\u201d the memo said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also weighed in, in a post on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe violent mob assaults on ICE and Federal Law Enforcement are designed to prevent the removal of Criminal Illegal Aliens from our soil; a dangerous invasion facilitated by criminal cartels (aka Foreign Terrorist Organizations) and a huge NATIONAL SECURITY RISK,\u201d he said<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cUnder President Trump, violence & destruction against federal agents & federal facilities will NOT be tolerated. It\u2019s COMMON SENSE. The @DeptofDefense is mobilizing the National Guard IMMEDIATELY to support federal law enforcement in Los Angeles.
