\u201cOh? Why Mommy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OUR SIX-YEAR-OLD, SUSIE:<\/strong>
\u201cBecause Mommy does all the dad stuff. She fixes my bike, plays catch, and checks for monsters under my bed. Daddy always says he\u2019s tired and needs quiet time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Mommy comes to Donuts with Dad, she\u2019ll have more fun talking to the other dads, and Daddy can stay home and watch his baseball. That\u2019s nice, right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were walking down the hallway\u2014me, my husband Ryan, and my father-in-law\u2014when we heard her voice from the classroom. She hadn\u2019t seen us yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
