On the other end of that call was Officer Gaetano Acerra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When Acerra arrived, he saw more than a routine case. The boy admitted he was simply tired\u2014of sharing a cramped room, of sleeping on an air mattress that deflated each night, of not having anything to call his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
