The FBI has opened an investigation into multiple left-wing groups in Utah over potential prior knowledge of the assassination of Charlie Kirk, according to a report from Axios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday morning, Fox News reported that the suspected killer, Tyler Robinson, was living with a \u201ctransgender partner\u201d prior to carrying out the attack. That report has since been confirmed by several additional outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to public records, Lance Twiggs 22, resided at the same address where Robinson lived. A relative confirmed to the New York Post<\/em><\/a> that \u201cyes, they were roommates.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family member, who spoke with the outlet on the condition of anonymity, said that Twiggs was the \u201cblack sheep\u201d of their St. George, Utah family. She also said that she was not aware of Twiggs\u2019 politics or whether he was in the process of transitioning genders, though she added that it would not surprise her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A neighbor did tell reporters that he saw the two men kissing and holding hands on more than one occasion. Another neighbor claimed to The Post that two weeks ago, several people, driving cars with out-of-state plates, were seen going in and out. \u201cThey did not give off a good vibe,\u201d the neighbor said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a bombshell report from Axios<\/a> citing six sources familiar with the investigation, investigators believe the shooter saw Kirk\u2019s views on transgenderism as \u201chateful\u201d to Twiggs. Investigators further believe that Robinson\u2019s anger at Kirk\u2019s views could be key to establishing a motive in the shocking political assassination that has sent shockwaves across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the six sources familiar with the investigation told Axios that authorities do indeed believe Robinson was indeed in a romantic relationship with Twiggs. They further stated that investigators initially preferred to keep the individual\u2019s gender identity from the public because they were being \u201cextremely cooperative\u201d with authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the sources said Twiggs was \u201caghast\u201d at the killing when initially approached by investigators and promptly turned over electronic messages sent by Robinson. \u201cThat\u2019s what happened? Oh my God, no,\u201d the roommate said, according to the source. \u201cHere are all the messages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sender of the messages in question was listed as \u201cTyler,\u201d who had mentioned that after the shooting, he discarded the bolt-action rifle he used in a wooded area just outside the Utah Valley University campus. \u201cTyler\u201d also told the roommate in writing that the rifle would have to be retrieved, Utah Governor Spencer Cox said at a press conference Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Federal and state law enforcement agencies are also investigating several left-wing groups in Utah to determine whether any of them had advanced knowledge of the shooter\u2019s plans, or if they assisted him after the fact. One of the groups in question deleted its social media presence immediately after the shooting, Axios reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family members and friends have reported\u00a0that Robinson became \u201cincreasingly political\u201d in recent years and had expressed interest in attending Kirk\u2019s upcoming debate at Utah Valley. Governor Cox stated at the news conference that the accused shooter recently had a conversation in which someone said Kirk \u201cwas spreading hate and was full of hate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
