Before leaving his dorm room for the final time, the suspect in Charlie Kirk\u2019s murder allegedly wrote a chilling note explaining why he targeted the conservative activist and icon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tyler Robinson, 22, explained to his roommate and transgender lover that he had one chance to \u201ctake out\u201d Kirk before he got away for good, according to FBI Director Kash Patel, who revealed that investigators are obtaining forensic evidence about the since-destroyed note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe written note did exist, and we have evidence to show what was in that note,\u201d Patel said on Fox News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I\u2019m going to take it,’\u201d he claimed the note stated. \u201cThat note was written before the shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though the note was destroyed in the partner\u2019s home, Patel said the FBI has found forensic evidence proving what was written on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patel also credited \u201caggressive\u201d interview tactics employed with Robinson, who authorities say is not cooperating with the investigation. He is currently being held under \u201cspecial watch\u201d in Utah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s unclear if the note was left for Robinson\u2019s roommate, who relatives say \u201chated conservatives and Christians\u201d but has been turning over evidence implicating Robinson in the assassination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also left unsaid by Patel is whether the note was digital or physical, or how it was recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 22-year-old, who has not been charged in connection with Kirk\u2019s slaying, was in the process of transitioning from male to female when Robinson allegedly shot and killed Kirk. Gov. Spencer Cox announced on Sunday that the investigation has revealed Robinson held a \u201cleftist ideology\u201d that may have been reinforced through his relationship with his roommate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A female relative of the roommate, who asked to remain anonymous, told Fox News<\/a> that he had turned decidedly misanthropic toward conservatives and Christians since turning 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe hates conservatives and Christians,\u201d the relative said. \u201cHe hated us. He was not raised that way, but he, over the years, has become really detached [and] been radicalized.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe has obviously gotten progressively worse the last year or two,\u201d the relative said, adding that he\u2019s \u201calways very angry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patel also revealed that investigators have obtained DNA evidence linking Robinson to the site of the shooting. Some of that evidence was recovered from the rooftop where investigators believe the fatal shot was taken, while other DNA evidence was found on the towel wrapped around the discarded rifle and murder weapon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robinson was taken into custody on Friday after being persuaded by his father to turn himself in. Investigators are still working to piece together an official motive, but Gov. Cox said Sunday that he likely became \u201cradicalized\u201d online over the past several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
