There may be \u201cforeign intelligence\u201d involved in the manhunt for the assassin behind Wednesday\u2019s murder of Charlie Kirk at a college campus in Utah, John Solomon told Fox News viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Solomon, former editor-in-chief at The Washington Times, stated cryptically that his reporting has uncovered some type of foreign involvement in the aftermath of the shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe don\u2019t have a shooter tonight. We have a couple leads. Couple people released that probably aren\u2019t the shooter. There\u2019s a couple of hot leads and a little bit of foreign intelligence,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s possible that Solomon could be describing intelligence provided to the U.S. by an allied nation, which may have been tracking the shooter in its own capacity. Authorities on Thursday morning said they uncovered spent shell casings matching the bullet that killed Kirk and engraved with transgender and anti-fascist ideological statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI think over the next couple of days we\u2019ll learn a lot more and hopefully bring to justice the evil person who did what they did to Charlie today,\u201d Solomon added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A U.S. Justice Department official told the Wall Street Journal that an investigation into the shooter and their whereabouts is still in its preliminary stages. However, several\u00a0pieces of critical information<\/a>\u00a0are known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason confirmed that the shooter appeared to be of \u201ccollege age\u201d and was able to blend into the campus following the ensuing chaos. FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls said his team has obtained \u201cgood video footage\u201d of the individual and hopes it will lead to an identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are working through some technologies and some ways to identify this individual,\u201d Bohls said, appealing to the media for their help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Footage described at the press conference shows the individual \u201cdressed in all dark clothing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe only information we have on the suspect, the possible shooter, is taken from closed-circuit TV here on campus,\u201d Mason continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe do have that. We\u2019re analyzing it. But it is security camera footage, so you can kind of guess what the quality of that is,\u201d he added. \u201cBut we do know, dressed in all dark clothing. But we don\u2019t have a much better description other than that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
