I thought it had to be some kind of joke. But nope\u2014the signature at the bottom said it all: <em>\u201cRespectfully, Mrs. Melissa H., Homeowner.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At first, I crumpled it up and tossed it in the trash. My son kicked a ball across the grass. My daughter laughed so hard she squealed\u2014and yes, I\u2019m sure it was well over 60 decibels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then came the shriek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melissa stormed out of her house in a bathrobe, clutching a mug of coffee like it was a weapon. \u201cExcuse me!\u201d she barked. \u201cWhat do you think you\u2019re doing? And they were just as fed up as I was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within an hour, the playground looked like a festival\u2014kids playing freely, parents chatting, music in the background. Melissa stood frozen on her porch, sputtering, powerless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that night?
