{"id":1205,"date":"2025-07-25T00:53:36","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T00:53:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/states-news.com\/?p=1205"},"modified":"2025-07-25T00:53:37","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T00:53:37","slug":"obama-implicated-in-new-russiagate-bombshell-released-by-gabbard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/states-news.com\/?p=1205","title":{"rendered":"Obama Implicated In New \u2018Russiagate\u2019 Bombshell Released By Gabbard"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The House Intelligence Committee found that the intelligence community had no direct evidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed to help elect Donald Trump in the 2016 election, but at the \u201cunusual\u201d direction of then-President Barack Obama, the agencies released intelligence that was \u201cpotentially biased\u201d or \u201cimplausible,\u201d suggesting otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified a previously unreleased 2020 report prepared by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report, dated September 18, 2020, stemmed from an investigation initiated by then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., chaired the committee at the time of the report\u2019s release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fox News was the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/brennan-directed-publication-implausible-reports-claiming-putin-preferred-trump-2016-house-found\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first to report<\/a>&nbsp;on the new bombshell revelations regarding Obama. The report had remained highly classified within the intelligence community and had never been made public until now, the outlet said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fox News Digital obtained the \u201cfully-sourced limited-access investigation report that was drafted and stored in a limited-access vault at CIA Headquarters.\u201d The report includes some redactions, the outlet added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee\u2019s investigation centered on the development of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, highlighting how then-CIA Director John Brennan advocated for including the now-discredited anti-Trump dossier\u2014despite being aware it was largely based on \u201cinternet rumor,\u201d according to prior reporting by Fox News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the report, the ICA was a \u201chigh-profile product ordered by the President, directed by senior IC agency heads, and created by just five CIA analysts, using one principal drafter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also Read : <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/states-news.com\/?p=1022\">AOC May Be In Legal Trouble After What She Said About Trump<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cProduction of the ICA was subject to unusual directives from the President and senior political appointees, and particularly DCIA,\u201d the report states. \u201cThe draft was not properly coordinated within CIA or the IC, ensuring it would be published without significant challenges to its conclusions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee found that the five CIA analysts and drafter \u201crushed\u201d the ICA\u2019s production \u201cin order to publish two weeks before President-elect Trump was sworn-in.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHurried coordination and limited access to the draft reduced opportunities for the IC to discover misquoting of sources and other tradecraft concerns,\u201d the report states, per Fox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report states that Brennan \u201cordered the post-election publication of 15 reports containing previously collected but unpublished intelligence, three of which were substandard\u2014containing information that was unclear, of uncertain origin, potentially biased, or implausible\u2014and those became foundational sources for the ICA judgements that Putin preferred Trump over Clinton.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe ICA misrepresented these reports as reliable, without mentioning their significant underlying flaws,\u201d the committee found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne scant, unclear, and unverifiable fragment of a sentence from one of the substandard reports constitutes the only classified information cited to suggest Putin \u2018aspired\u2019 to help Trump win,\u201d the report states, going on to say that the ICA \u201cignored or selectively quoted reliable intelligence reports that challenged-and in some cases undermined\u2014judgments that Putin sought to elect Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report also says that the ICA \u201cfailed to consider plausible alternative explanations of Putin\u2019s intentions indicated by reliable intelligence and observed Russian actions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the committee said that a pair of senior CIA officers warned Brennan that \u201cwe don\u2019t have direct information that Putin wanted to get Trump elected.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, despite the warnings, the Obama regime moved to publish the ICA anyway.
